PS2.IGN has written a preview of Deus Ex 2, and it deals mostly with how this game will look on the Playstation 2 compared to the PC version:

With the PC cynics mostly on the calm side now, let's address the game for those who don't know too much about it. In Deus Ex, players take on the role of J.C. Denton, a rookie anti-terrorist agent with UNATCO -- the UN Anti-Terrorist Coalition, who is literally pummeled with conspiracies and story twists that unravel new surprises throughout the game. Denton investigates New York terrorist activity that threatens the city with a plague dubbed the Gray Death. His mission is multi-fold; initially it focuses on preventing the terrorists from diverting the only known treatment, Ambrosia, away from victims of the plague. However, as the game progresses, Denton realizes that UNATCO may be working against him, and that the plot around this investigation involves total control of the entire world. As he realizes the depth of the dilemma, Denton learns to question everyone, friend or foe, in his quest for the truth.

Just like the PC version, Deus Ex offers a rich set of interactions that create a totally different experience each time the game is played. In the process of creating their customized persona, J.C. Denton, via character attributes and nano-tech augmentations -- and by interacting with non-player characters -- gamers determine the outcome of their game experience in each mission, and throughout the entire game.
