Also on Music4Games is a short review of Warcraft 3, rating: 8/10. Here's an excerpt:
The music in the game comes from a team consisting of Tracy W. Bush (no relation to George we assume), Derek Duke, Jason Hayes and Glenn Stafford who is also the audio director. The score they have come up with is very good indeed and helps to build both atmosphere and tension alike. Lots of dark minor chord's build into a crescendo and then drop off into quiet tranquil moments. Very simple and effective especially in-game. The soundtrack is well produced and if you buy the collector's edition of the game you get a copy of it on an audio CD which is a nice little bonus. The quality soundtrack blends well with some nice audio effects and background noises such as birds tweeting and thunder storms, which, as any good horror director will testify, is ultimately effective for building tension.
