So, who exactly is Dreamfall for? Well, obviously it’s for fans of the first title. The process of finding out what’s happened to April and the world of Arcadia since the events of The Longest Journey is a pleasure thanks to the story which has been both expertly crafted and told. Although point and click fans will be bemused by the lousy combat and sneaky bits, the strong exploration and exposition is more than enough to keep interest levels well maintained. In fact, anyone who enjoys interactive story-type games will find plenty to enthral here. If it’s action over story you’re looking for though, you really do need to look elsewhere unless skipping past conversations (which would be to your loss) is a habit of yours.
