A review of the PC version of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' can be found at Video Games Life today. Rating: 78%.
Ah. Now, we’ve hit a situation. Pirates of the Caribbean, as the name suggests, is the game of the recent box-office smash from which it takes its name. Preconception number one: with most publishers, you can imagine the setup of “ooh, quick, let’s throw a shed load of money into a hastily-released mainstream project!” But. Big but. A glance at the cover of Pirates of the Caribbean tells us that this is a game of the Ubi Soft/Bethesda partnership. The team, therefore, behind the exceptional Morrowind and its add-ons. Developer reputation is high, which leaves us in a predicament:

What to think of this game.

At VGL, we could think of only one feasible solution to our problem: lose any prejudice, play the game, and find out for ourselves (Shouldn’t you be doing that for all reviews though? - Ed).
