Conquer Online: Conquer is still expanding, and last week had to open yet another game server to accomodate new players to its 'Galaxy group.' The server's name is Uranus, and before you make any cracks about "conducting a PvP raid on your anus," I'll politely remind you that it's pronounced "urine-us" which of course has no sophomoric value at all.
Daimonin: The team begind the open source MMORPG Daimonin is asking players to vote for the game at a bunch of gaming sites you never heard of, many of which are registered to the same people. Something unsavory is going on here, but I don't know exactly what it is.
Flyff: Another game that's growing out of control, Flyff, experienced severe stability issues as its servers struggled to support an unceasing influx of players. They've patched the existing servers and added a few new servers, as well. To make up for all the server issues, all existing accounts have been credited with 200 free GPotatoes to spend in the game as they like.
Knight Online: A patch released last week introduces usable catapults to the game's so-called Lunar Wars.
Monster & Me: Monster & Me now includes a freshly-added newbie quest for players to enjoy. Oh, and by "newbie" they mean "under level 100." I'm not kidding. Strangely enough, the article that announces the quest also includes a complete walkthrough for it, with NPC coordinates. Now where's the fun in that?
MU Online: Beginning on February 10, Mu Online will be transferring its servers from Webzen to something called the "K2 Network." During this time, the original Mu servers will enter a "Time of Chaos Event," where anything goes, with no consequences to players. (After the transfer's complete however, all characters will be rolled back to pre-event status.)
Mythos: The Greek mythology-inspired, free browser-based game Mythos went live on January 24. The first stage of this game, called Age 0: The Age of Chaos is now underway and runs until March 4.
Oz World: The latest patch introduced a bunch of new items to the game, including a lot of 'couples items.' Get your mind out of the gutter- these are just like matching sets of t-shirts and stuff.
Project Entropia: The previously reported Entropian magazine is quite overdue; the debut issue has not yet been published and there's a lengthy explanation about this at the official site. Also, a new patch just went live yesterday that makes a bunch of shopping-related enhancements, as well as lets you exit the game immediately if you need to leave in a hurry, without holding you up for 20 seconds. (Note that your avatar still remains in-game for that 20 seconds after you quit, though.)
Silkroad Online: Players are now able to modify their account information from the game's site. Just log on to the site with your game credentials and click "Personal Information." Also, rather than post a formal FAQ, the Silkroad staff has chosen to post little mini FAQs on their 'Notice' page. The first entry in this (hopefully) continuing series includes the following insightful tidbit:"
Q. Who is this GM Crayon?
A. I am very colorful. Made of all those warm and cozy colors. And...mangryangs...
Thang Online: A developer's note published... tomorrow? (oh yeah, international dateline) Announces the team's plans for Thang's future. Players can expect a new guild ranking system, a new dungeon, and some balancing tweaks. Put your armor on folks, I sense a nerf bat in the vicinity. |
