GameDaily has kicked up a preview of GPG's 'Dungeon Siege' sequel. The original Dungeon Siege was a solid effort from Microsoft and developer Gas Powered Games, but it certainly has some issues. While it looks pretty and you'll have a good time adventuring, the gameplay's a bit too linear, which is fine if all you care about is being gently pushed along and not getting lost, but the appeal of RPGs is the sheer size of their worlds and your ability to go anywhere. In Dungeon Siege II, the developers have made some necessary improvements to make their game even better, and if you've been on the fence over this series, you may just want to give this sequel a long, hard look. |
