Ferrago.co.uk has put up their list of what they think will be the top games of 2002, these are the 2 RPG's that made the list:
4.Star Wars Galaxies
Massively multiplayer online role-playing game from the makers of Everquest? Do we hear the sound of cash tills ringing? Yes. It’s going to be big, there’s no doubt about it, and the environments of the world already look stunning. Lucas Arts have brought in the experts at Verant to handle the design and support of this one, which could well be the most popular of the ubiquitous MMORPG’s to-date. This will offer fans of Star Wars the opportunity to actually participate in the familiar worlds of Star Wars. I dare not comprehend how huge this game will be; assuming Verant taking their time making it great. Here’s hoping it’ll be with us sometime in late 2002.
8. Neverwinter Nights
Developers Bioware have worked hard to build a reputation as one of the very finest developers of RPG games, and their early-2002 release of Neverwinter Nights looks sure to cement this. The highly anticipated single and multiplayer RPG could prove the most popular role-playing release of the year. Neverwinter Nights should add a freshness to the genre with it’s rich and detailed story and world, and with Bioware’s attention to detail is sure to be a well-polished experience. Could prove to be one of the success stories of the year...
