Tech TV has done a review of Wizardry 8, our "RPG of 2001" here at RPGDot, crowned by our readers. While it is quite positive, it isn't as enthusiastic as many other reviews so far. The final rating is 3/4 - and here's their conclusion:

The demise of Sirtech, whatever the financial reasons, is a shame. Despite its flaws, "Wizardry 8" is a playable RPG with some interesting and unique ideas. The developers clearly put a lot of effort into designing a game that would satisfy long-time fans and also provide an enjoyable experience for gamers new to the "Wizardry" series. Not everything they did pays off, but "Wizardry 8" is a good RPG and the dedicated gamer will uncover more than a few hours of satisfying, if somewhat uneven, gameplay.
