While it is quite positive, it isn't as enthusiastic as many other reviews so far. The final rating is 3/4 - and here's their conclusion: The demise of Sirtech, whatever the financial reasons, is a shame. Despite its flaws, "Wizardry 8" is a playable RPG with some interesting and unique ideas. The developers clearly put a lot of effort into designing a game that would satisfy long-time fans and also provide an enjoyable experience for gamers new to the "Wizardry" series. Not everything they did pays off, but "Wizardry 8" is a good RPG and the dedicated gamer will uncover more than a few hours of satisfying, if somewhat uneven, gameplay.
