RPGVault offers a Q&A with Jonquil's Project Leader Vilur Shakirov and Game Designer Sergey Videneev about the upcoming RPG Spells of Gold:
Jonric: Although you both seem to lean towards melee, to what extent do you make use of magic? What are a few of the spells that your characters are most likely to acquire?

    Vilur Shakirov
    Project Leader
All the spells with paralysing, poisoning or blinding effects. Namely, there are some spells of Elemental Magic (Water Magic - poisoning, Fire Magic - blinding). Then the spells from Supreme Magic group - Magic of Chaos (poisoning plus blinding) and Magic of Order (paralyse). I think that the only way for a mage to have done with a quick and powerful opponent is to make him slow or blind; a blind NPC doesn't respond to ranged attacks. What spell to learn depends on the situation. If I get an opportunity to learn say, spells of Order first, I use this chance.
