A review of Trevor Chan's 'Wars & Warriors: Joan of Arc' at Extreme Mhz. There doesn't seem to be a score but the text has reservations so here's the summary:This game is a very ambitious one and could truly be an excellent and entertaining game with some polishing and a little more work. The Wars & Warriors titles leads me to believe that there may be future works in progress of the same type that may prove to be more refined than this one. Towards the end of the game I found myself playing just to finish the game with no real desire or interest in beating it. The combat would be entertaining if there was less of it and if it was not so mindless. It is ridiculous to think Joan of Arc could be surrounded by hundreds of soldiers and emerges victorious, but this game makes it happen many times over. You certainly play as Joan of Arc and you certainly fight epic battles, but this is not a perfect blend of action and strategy though it could be. I see some very interesting ideas and love the concept of this game, but I just cannot suggest it with all the other games on the market at the moment. | Source: Blue's |
