A preview of Mimesis Online can be found at MMORPG Cafe today. They are quite positive about the game, as you can see by this snippit, especially the last paragraph:

In another novel move, players will be able to either download the game for free via the Internet, or will be able to order the game by mail for the mailing costs only. Monthly access charges will be USD$10/month. This means that players can play and evaluate the game for four or five months before they will have spent as much as they do now on the initial purchase of other MMORPGs. And, as with most other games, you’ll have a full month to try out the game before you begin to pay for it. It’s hard to resist a bargain like that!

As someone who has followed the development of this game with great interest, studying all reports with great interest (especially the wonderful developer updates written by Derek Handley!), I will definitely be on hand when the game goes live. Tannhauser Gate’s intriguing and original game system, storyline, graphics, and purchase model have already sold me on giving the game a good trial. Hopefully, many others will join me this fall as I explore and immerse myself in this new reality called Mimesis Online.

For more wonderful writing by Derek Handley, just have a look at our feature box :-)
