Some recent news from Lyra Studios, makers of Underlight. It seems they have reached an agreement with Enginesoft to have a Chinese version in certain Chinese speaking countries. Heres the entire announcement:
Lyra Studios and EngineSoft reach Licensing Agreement
Los Angeles, California, August 16, 2001 - Lyra Studios, developer of
the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Underlight, is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with EngineSoft Entertainment that will see a Chinese version of Underlight distributed in several Chinese-speaking nations.
"We are excited that Underlight is going to receive some much needed exposure from its introduction into the Chinese language game market," said Brent Phillips, President of Lyra Studios.
Underlight was initially released three years ago on the Mplayer gaming
network. Through its unique gameplay and top-notch role-playing
environment, Underlight maintains a dedicated community of players.
The software is free to download, and a free trial period is available.
Lyra Studios LLC is headquartered in Los Angeles, California and
specializes in advanced Internet related technologies and entertainment properties. Lyra is currently in discussions with several financiers and publishers regarding other language versions of Underlight as well as their next planned
