good game if you like tactical squad combat. I have to admit I liked Jagged Alliance alot better. I was hoping it was going to be like ff tactics but it wasn't. Still a good game

Tarq has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Tarq)

HiddenX has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from HiddenX)

good game - but Jagged Alliance and Incubation are better squad combat games.

Decado has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Decado)

One of the worst tactical games ever made. Embarrasses the FO name, IMO.

Good for the once through. Below Fallout standards in terms of atmosphere and humor.

Edaf has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Edaf)

For that what they have done with Fallout

DTeach33 has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from DTeach33)

I loved the tactical squad combat in this game. Too many people were disappointed by expecting a game similar to Fallout 1 & 2, I think. In retrospect, it is as good as JA2 and Xcom3 (which I both enjoyed).

Why the hell this is even INCLUDED in a poll on an RPG site is beyond me. If you like deep, complex involved story lines and GREAT gameplay, then RUN away, run away NOW!! The constant, similar missions where you "run around and kill everything" gets boring real fast. Soon, the missions just get longer and longer and you realise that all you're doing is shooting things, hoarding up on weapons, shooting again. Now, as for the storyline..... Uhhh... yeah. As a tactical combat game it's "okay" at best.

Matthew Reynolds has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Matthew Reynolds)

Could have been great, but it was just shameless milking of a franchise. Too little development time made the design and story shoddy and the game bug city. Lots of the perks and skills don't even work.

Migu has rated 2/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Migu)

I love fallouts.. well, exept this one, this one is a piece of crap, thats what i say. Too many cars, and they run fuel, right? and why the hell there is a power armor III allready? I mean, the power armor mkII was made in Fallout2, and Fot timeline is between fallout1 and 2, right? Oh well, my Fot aknowlege isnt the best. Anyways, i dont like this one at all, and its not just my opinion! It just sux and doesnt fit in with rest of the fallout games... why the hell they didnt make fallout3 instead of this?! Geez! btw, for other uh.. wastelanders; www.channel-fallout.cjb.net ... uh... yay!

Well, it's better than D2 anyway.

Arax_TheBold has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Arax_TheBold)

Going against the grain here but I actually enjoyed this game. It had it all powerful weapons, vehicles and excellent graphics. It was a bit cumbersome at times with the turn-based mode, but if you didn’t use turn based then you would get smeared. The character development was the same as the other fallout games except some of the skill selections where pointless because this game was not as much of a role play experience then the others in the series.

Ykalon has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ykalon)

One of the best tactical games I've tried. The story is well done. Worthy of the Fallout name.

PlacidDragon has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from PlacidDragon)

A good game in its own right (once they ironed the worst bugs out of it), but as a Fallout game, it fails miserably on most, if not all accounts.

KDeye has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from KDeye)

It's great, difficult, with lot of story and graphic is Great Plus Aliens and Creatures are wonderfull to have in your party

Halfdane has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Halfdane)

I loved it. Though it was too buggy pre-patch. Upsides: Nice graphics, the SPECIAL system (perks, traits,...), the combat. Downside: Lack of interaction with the environment (a rocket louncher can't even blow a hole in a wooden fence), linearity and a few bugs.

Val has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Val)

I played it as a tactical combat game (not expecting mind blowing RPG goodness) and found this game quite enjoyable.

Landon has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Landon)

Played really well on my sysyem, put to max difficulty actually made it pretty fun, but it did drag Fallout from what it once was and hopefully will be again. This was one of those games that could or couldn't be in my collection, without it I WOULD feel incoplete, but with it just sitting on my desk I sometimes need to fight off the urge to smash it to bits thinking about the cannable homo's.

Thomas has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Thomas )

I'm Sorry, but this game is just unfairly low on the list. FOT is probably the best game I've ever played! Hands down.

Balrog has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Balrog)

Red! has rated 3/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Red!)

Um RPG? It's got even less RPGing the Deus Ex, and it's gameplay isn't all that great. I loved the engine though, but it was a travesty of the Fallout series.

A very good tactical RPG

Dalton has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Dalton)

It is crap, yet it is still better than most of the other trash out there

Ykalon Dragon has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ykalon Dragon)

Love this game. Still play it from time to time. The missions are mostly excellent. the Fallout feel is there too.

Wizzban3 has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Wizzban3)

I was expecting less after i played the DEMO. But they really made the game playable and quite fascinating at the end. Yep this isn t Fallout itself but all those items you come across make the game very enjoyable.

Joachim Andersson has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Joachim Andersson)

A superb game (With only slight rpg-influences though).

Gokce Cimen has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Gokce Cimen)

better than any other turn based strategy game. not in the same class with fo1 & fo2.

klaus has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from klaus)

Yes it fails to live up to the fallout name, and yes Jagged Alliance 2 is a much better strategy-RPG. But since you've probably already played those, this is a very good combination.

emil has rated 1/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from emil)

this is no fallout :-(

Wastelander has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Wastelander)

I just love this game as well as its counterparts. More games should come up and smack us out of our high fantasy thrones and say to us "Hey, their is more possibility to an RPG then just magic swords and skinny little elves. Here's a landmine, there's a machine gun wielding supermutant go try something cool." I am not a tactical RPG fan most of the time and this one stood out to me. It gave us an interesting look at the east coast of post apocalyptic war north america which was a welcome change from the Californian thing. The post mission commentaries were funny with the general's blatent disregard for the lives of non-essential and/or non-BOS life. The hazmat suits look amazing when you run around with a flamethrower (you look like a bunch of GI's on a biological hazard containment mission). And while despite it's less Falloutish appearance I think the game deserves more credit. It did after all give us a wonderful supplementing look into the underworkings of the BOS and I hope that when Fallout 3 does arrive that it will have factions that are even half as detailed. For its flexability of options in combat and for showing me fun and interesting new uses for combat enhancing substances I give this a 9. -1 becuase it managed to crash me on a mission I had just finished while I was walking towards the exit grid on tough guy mode.

Superb concept. Would love a game with this engine played during WW2. No lasers just real weapons.

Excellent gaming for the adult crowd. I've been playing the single player mode since the game was first available in 2001. The variables guarantee that each game is unique. Somewhat unstable when rushed. They say that patch 1.27 rectifies that but also blocks some fun cheats. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do. P.S. Never get tired of play'n it.

A strange departure but enjoyable. The missions are extremely long with an advanced difficulty setting. It also took a long time to aquire decent weapons versus what you enemies where wielding (i.e., trying to defeat a squad of rocket wielding super mutants with an assault shotgun and hunting rifles). Despite it all I loved this game and enjoyed the flexibility of having different races and personalities that comprised your squad. Some of the missions are actually quite cool and I enjoyed planning out difficult assualts on bases. I will never forget the final charge of my deathclaw as he ran into enemy fire in order to save my squad that had been pinned down by an ambush. RIP.
