An E3 preview of Star Wars: KotOR has been posted at ToTheGame. Here's a bit:
During the game you have the opportunity to party up with two other members and up to nine different NPCs. You can assume control of anyone in your party or allow the AI to work its magic. Each character has his/her own items and accessories, but what makes life easier is the party inventory system. So as long as the weapon or item isn’t equipped to someone in the party, it’s free for anyone to use. BioWare wanted to make Knights of the Old Republic more fun and less backtracking, and annoying. The same goes for another option that allows you to quickly go back to your base if you’re in a friendly area. What’s the point of trekking across a friendly land when you can save time and click a button? There is none, thus BioWare incorporated this little handy dandy option.
