Computer Games Romania's "Bossman" reveals this rather radical review re GPG's epic sequel, Dungeon Siege 2, in which Bossman gives DS2 an final rating of 8.0 out of 10...
The designers also tried to bring some life into the characters of your party with the use of dialogs that the player can only listen to, something found in Knight of the Old Republic as well. Unfortunately, their best intentions went straight to hell, thanks to the horrendous voice acting and the simple stupidity of the dialogs themselves.
Thankfully, regarding the sheer content in the game, GPG did their job well. DS2 is divided into three lengthy chapters, each one having its own side-quests, which will take you on a journey all over Aranna, whether it’s finding ghosts, solving crimes or gathering books for a scholar. If you choose to follow only the main quests, you will finish the game in almost half the time, but you will miss out a great deal of content, not to mention valuable rewards and skill points. In this respect, DS2 is somewhat similar to Fable, with both games strongly encouraging the player to go out and explore the game world. |
