The 2nd RPGvault feature for today introduces us to Jay Watamaniuk from Canadian developer BioWare. Jay is the new Community Manager and in case you're a fan of BioWare's products you'll probably see him a lot in the future because if you're a fan you're part of the community that he's managing. Makes sense, doesn't it ? ;)
Here's a snip:Jonric: How extensively have you played BioWare's games? What are some things that stand out about them, either individually or as a group of games?
Jay Watamaniuk: My brother (seeing a pattern here?) sent me a copy of Baldur's Gate when I was living in Japan. We played online for quite some time. I got through that and picked up MDK II and BG II while I was still in Japan and enjoyed them both. I didn't finish BG II until returning to Canada. Having been wrapped up in fantasy gaming because of D&D and Edmonton's very large Live Role-Playing Society which I have participated in for many years, I thought BG and BG II brought the entire genre back from the dead. I love first person shooters but a good ripping medieval adventure sucks me in every time. |
