I do not understand where this "No PVP" quote came from. We will have a form of PVP, but honestly, it will not be the core of the game at this time.

The only thing we said at E3 is that we're not releasing details about the PVP system until we're farther along with it.

No non-consensual PVP still applies.

Still, if you're looking for a hardcore Tolkien PVP game, might I suggest that you look into War of the Ring? I know it's not the same type of gameplay, but they are definitely going to have competitive multiplayer.
