PCCW to acquire Interplay ?

PC Zone U.K. reports that Chinese investment concern Pacific Century Cyber Works could be the potential buyer of Interplay.
PC Zoneīs info is based on two unnamed sources from within Interplay so it may be more than a rumor.
PCCW had recently attempted to acquire Activision by offering US$ 25 per share but the deal was turned down.

Comment: If these news are true it is bad news for us gamers. An investment concernīs sole interest lies in making money. The usual procedure would be that PCCW shuts down and/or sells all Interplay divisions after the deal has been signed. This could mean kissing a few games good-bye.
