Woulda, coulda, shoulda... This game had a great deal of potential. If you can look past the numerous bugs and the poor conversation system (particularly the awful way it handles quests), there's a good game hiding in there.

This could have been alot better game if it was released about two years earlier and if Activision hadn't released it and then forgotten about it. This game fell far short of what was planned when it was still called Swords and Sorcery. But even with all of the problems it is still worth playing.

Very good game, but yes, very very buggy. The story is quite good, but the way it goes about telling it is lacking. However, I like the way it has narration, kinda like playing in a table top, pen & paper rpg. Very cool.

The game was touted as the "spiritual sucessor" to Wizardry 7, but did not come close to living up to the legacy. The game is bland. That is the best word to describe it. The dungeons, the wilderness, the combat system, all drab. The 'towns' are only AVI files that are advanced back and forth while you are in them. I saw towns 10 times better in games 15 years ago (and with better graphics too). The only bright point is the character generation/advancement system, but you can see basically the same thing in Wizardry 7 & 8. Avoid this game and pick up the REAL successor of Wizardry 7, Wizardry 8. You'll be much happier for it. Oh, and it is NOT compatible with Windows 2000/XP unless you edit the AVI files and change their format with VirtualDub or a similar program

This is actually a very cool game.

cool Wizardry-like game. With the latest patch most bugs are gone.

Excellent dungeons and a special atmosphere, unfortunately outdoor areas, NPCs and the unbalanced battles (way too easy) prevent it from being much better.

Mostly just something to play while I was waiting for Wizardry 8. If a game changes publisher several times, something is wrong.

Bastich has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Bastich)

Could have been much better. The interface was horrible, especially the dialogues. There were some things I liked, but in the end I was very glad it was all over.

Rendelius has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Rendelius)

In some ways it was pathetic, in some ways it was quite some fun. But Wizardry 8 blows it away in nearly every possible way.

Graphics are not good, but I enjoyed the game very much!

NICE GAME !

Shyguy has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Shyguy)

Disappointing game by the creator of Wiz 6 and 7. I expected much more from this game. What I got was a run-of-the-mill rpg with very little depth or originality.

kraylore has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from kraylore)

it disapointed in many ways...but i still think highly of it. had some real atmosphere and a few sparks of brilliance

Bradley is a genius, too bad activision is a POS publisher and cut all support before the bugs were ironed out.

I like it

Skyhawki has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Skyhawki)

This is the best RPG I have played in years. Yes it is buggy, but there are patches out there that fix most of the bugs. The world drew me in, particularly the narration, and the voice acting was excellent. There are tons of things you can do in this game that give it a classic feel. The graphics are well done and even look pretty good now years later. The dungeon designs are just fantastic, and make sense ublike other better known games. The humor, like the Boogers, made me laugh. I can see some not likeing it, but for me it was wonderful. If you can look past the bugs (none game stoppers imo) and the awful quest interface, then you may find this game a classic. Pick it up in the discount bin if ya can find it. It is well worth it.

Wizards&Warriors was for me a far better roleplaying experience than gothic2 or morrowind. The today games give hype, a big world and huge masses of items. But this games are adventures - at least gothic2 is no real traditional rpg. Old school rpgs like w&w give the deep story AND the world. Grafics are very dated - but player have the choice - brilliant hull or content? The answer is clear for me. ;)

Was fun to play. Over the top class switching and leveling. Good story and quests. Fighting is better than it looks.
