This is what they have to say about the setting of the game: Nearly all of you know the Baldur's Gate series and Icewind Dale series and you know that they are famous for their quality and epic. That is why I personally was so excited when I heard that Black Isle and Reflexive are working on a new project. Lionheart is the name of this and it plays in real world's Europe of the 16th century. An engrained fantasy-RPG fan may ask: what's the point? The Middle Ages aren't too spectacular and plus...there are no orks. Wrong! The world maybe the same but there is one significant derivation from our world, magic and monsters exist!
