As Big Blue Box's long awaited Fable threatens the record for most consecutive appearances at a videogame show, the title's most recent appearance at the 2004 Game Developer's Conference had it looking like a full-fledged Xbox title complete with HUD, voice-acting and everything else that's supposed to make this the so-called "greatest role-playing game of all time." The game's godfather, Peter Molynuex made that claim more than two years ago and countless demos and interviews later, Fable not only looks like it may live up to the hype but it appears to be running well enough to make a surprising Summer 2004 release date. Again, those are Molyneux's words, not ours.
