Once an agrarian settlement, the city of Tazoon rose to a position of strength and prominence, becoming known as the unofficial "capital of Istaria". When the community declared its independence as a free city-state almost a century ago, Dalimond became the actual seat of the Human Vandus Confederation, but Tazoon remains much larger and probably far more influential.
