Here's a little something: The premise of .hack is that a game inside the game, a virtual reality MMORPG known as “The World”, has begun to have some disturbing effects on its patrons due to a computer virus that has found its way into the game. “The World” is the most popular MMORPG of all time and incorporates many interesting characters. You assume the role of a player named Kite, who, after being introduced to the game by a friend named Orca (make your own joke), watches him loose consciousness and become comatose after being killed in the game. This doesn’t sit well with Kite, so he decides to venture deep into “The World” in an attempt to discover the source of his friend’s bizarre condition.
