A more modest appraisal than most of Snowblind's 'Champions of Norrath' can be found at All RPG. Their review has a score of 7.5/10 and here's a snip:
Ok kids, grab your vorpal sword of wounding and your bow of lesser agility, it’s time to hunt some orc! In Champions of Norrath, the newest edition to the Everquest series, you pick your character and traverse through the lands of EQ with one goal in mind, save the world. Champions walks a different path from that of a normal EQ game in that it’s the first of the series that isn’t entirely online. The game let’s you choose the role of 5 playable characters. Like any game of genre, each class has it’s high and low points. The barbarian is obviously the tank of the bunch, while the ranged attack is the mage’s best friend.
