As soon as the game starts up you can see some resemblance to the LucasArts style in the way the game is presented with intuitive point and click controls, quirky cartoon styled characters and humour right from the off with the introductory dance sequence. The intro just reinforces the fact you shouldn't be taking the game too seriously or looking for hard facts on ancient Egypt, it has that Shrek cartoon kind of feel. Playing a cartoon has always appealed to me, more so than an adventure game going for ultra-realism, the game has to look and feel fun, that's just personal opinion of course, and ankh ticks those boxes from the beginning.
