1Up has a tiny 3-paragraph micro-preview of inXile's 'The Bard's Tale'. Here's one third of the article:
It's a bold concept--take an action-RPG a la Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance but replace the superserious gravitas with goofball humor. Now, if you're a fan of the ancient PC Bard's Tale games, you might be shocked by the direction of this laff-a-minute hack-n-slasher (you might also be 40), but this self-satirizing romp might rope in a whole new generation of fans.
