RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Snoekie has rated the following games:

Dark Age of Camelot: 5/10 points

It's an empty world. You're FORCED to group and even then you could loose hours of experience points if someone else screws up. Certainly not a game I liked (and I tried for many months) but many disagree when I look at the number of subscriptions. Therefore I rate this game a five.

Deus Ex: 9/10 points

What can I say about this gem? For me it's the best 1st person rpg right next in line with the Original Thief game.

Dungeon Siege 2: 9/10 points

Dubbing it a "RPG-Lite" game is a good description. It has enough RPG elements to keep it involving and interesting but also enough action to not become boring with stats, lore, character development etc. The graphics are good enough for me and are somewhat improved over the original. The music I liked a lot! The voice acting is "ok", sometimes a bit shoddy and sometimes adequate. Bottom line for me: I enjoy DS2 greatly and give it a solid 9.

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 10/10 points

Simple the best CRPG I've ever played in years. Only my very first crpg called Ultima IV, falls into this same category. There's nothing like it in it's genre. An absolute classic!

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 9/10 points

Close to perfection in my opinion. Spent many, many fun hours with that game.

EverQuest 2: 9/10 points

Very addictive, very beautiful and overall just fun. I enjoyed the beta and am now enjoying the retail even more. There is lots to explore and lots of quests to do with decent rewards. I give this game a 9.

Star Wars: Galaxies - An Empire Divided: 8/10 points

I give it an 8. Graphics are good and char creation is just beautiful. Too bad you need 1GB of ram to run it smoothly in the cities, that's out of whack. Character progress is flexible and entertaining. Combat isn't all that boring to me, actually I like it. It's about as boring/exciting as any other mmorpg I've played. (AC1 being the exception, combat there was action-packed yet overpowered) It's patched daily and makes good progress. While it could surely use more content and still is buggy at times I really enjoy SWG.

Ultima 4 - Quest of the Avatar: 9/10 points

My first rpg ever. And boy was I hooked! One couldn't ask for a better start to get a feeling for what a rpg can be. I clearly remember the thrill I got from exploring Britannia, finding new towns and monsters. Gathering my party, fighting pirates on the shorline and then take their ship after victory to sail the seas off to the magic isle of Magincia. Aaah yes, I've played many, many rpg's since then and none were ever able to catch my imagination like Ultima IV did. Although this new game called Morrowind shows very promising I doubt if I will ever have that special Ultima feeling again. I miss it but also am glad I experienced it.

Ultima 4 - Quest of the Avatar: 10/10 points

My first crpg and I was hooked ever since. I'll probably never get that same feeling again. Loved it to bits! And I too filled tens of pages with info :) Supergreat game!

Ultima 9 - Ascension: 5/10 points

What a pity. It could have been so much more. No character development to speak of and a ton of bugs... A shaming end to a great series.
