A few years ago, The Ultimate Wizardry Archives containing Wiz 1-Wiz7 was released by Sir-Tech and Interplay. While there were sales, it certainly wasn't a blockbuster. And most people who would have wanted it probably got it when it was released back then. So there would be littled demand now for the archives, and the license for that wouldn't be worth too much.
Don't know that I totally agree with this. Although I was familiar with the Wizardry franchise, Wiz8 is the only one I've bought. I'm told the Archives would be largely unplayable on a modern rig with Windows. Seems to me that (10 years after Wiz7) Wiz8 revived a good bit of forgotten interest in the franchise, as well as introducing a new "generation" of gamers to Wizardry. Were someone to release "playable Windows ports" of the back catalog, I'd buy... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

It is backward compatible. I'm running a P3, 500 MHz, 128 Meg system and all games run fine. There are no system requirements listed anywhere in the manual, reference card or CD label. There is a program on it called Mo'Slo designed to slow the games down on modern systems to playable speeds, but it's not really needed IIRC - I tested all games off the CD. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E.
