Well... honestly freelancer is about the best new game Ive seen. It is a lot of fun and well worth it I think. As opposed to being disapointed by it I was greatly suprised. Ive had looks at a lot of game released recently and they sucked.
One of the best things it that it looks great and runs lightening fast on my puter.
Its not an anticipated crpg though. |

It didn't have any deep elements of RPG, action or space sim, so don't expect that kind of game. But personally it's good for me . Because of this game now i'm excited about X2: The threat, rather similar title but with deeper space simulatuion elements.
Other:
Deus Ex 2, KoTOR, Sea Dogs 2 |

@Remus - I'm really looking forward to X2, as well. The missing elements in Freelancer inspired me to revive X2's predecessor, X-Tension. In fairness to Freelancer, it's still a great action game, though. |

I'm looking forward to KoTOR, and, of course, the game you made a special exception for. _________________

Add me to the list of people anticipating Greyhawk:TTOEE. I look forward to
Sea Dogs 2, Deus Ex 2, and Lionheart also. Gothic bored me, but I may try out Gothic 2 because I'm a crpg collector as much as a player. I'll definitely get Blood Moon too. Morrowind is like the NeverEnding Story, and the community is making great games out of Bethesda's engine. Til these come out I'm replaying the Might and Magic series, starting with MM3: Isles of Terra. It's my favorite of the MM series. _________________ 'nut |

@Gig - Sea Dogs 2 is a pirate-based RPG with ship-to-ship sea battles amongst other things. It's got terrific graphics, is rather different from the usual fantasy fair and, hey - doesn't everyone want to be a swashbuckling pirate? |

No, it's 3rd person I think. So you can add it to your list of hopefuls, Gig. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Another thing that may please you Gig: SeaDogs was playable only as a male character, but SD2 gives a choice. Very few single player crpgs have
a heroine instead of a hero. This one allows it. _________________ 'nut |

Nice page on that Jefferson project, hadnt seen it. Bioware's betrayal of their roots as far as single player CRPGs is concerned depressed me a bit ... but after Troika it seems Blackisle too will fill the void.
Thanks for the link ... I do so love party based CRPGs. |

That was an excellent Jefferson link.
For those interested in Jefferson who haven't seen it, this screenshot of JE Sawyer's desktop is probably the first (and very unofficial) Jefferson screenie.
It's fun to look at a dev's music playlist, regardless . |
