I've read previous posts on this but still have questions:
1. In Rm 30 I'm looking for a "hot spot (floor or wall) - correct?
2. Exactly how do I use the shovel? Do I Use "F" on the shovel once
I have the "hot spot"?
Mucho gracias!

You can just use F on it, but you need to be somewhat close to the hot spot. What level room 30 are you refering to? I can tell you more then. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

I should have said I'm in Level 6. If I double-click the shovel I guess I can move the action cursor 'til it's over the hot-spot and then left-click - is that correct? Thanks again for the help.

That or just leave it in your inventory and walk around your self. I found that worked faster. It seemed to take in more area and I found it faster. _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

If you know where the key is for the treasure chest at the end of quest you can just skip all the others before that. Stand in the spot under hanging ladder (level 3 on the little walk way above the spider caves look for a ladder hanging from the wall above you, thats the spot) Now just open your bags put your mouse over the shovel and "Use" it with "F" key or "Enter" and bingo a rock pops up from ground and the key is next to it. Of course you miss the fun of doing it the right way but you get that ring much faster
