Pickpocketing!
   

Where is this good for? i have learned level 1 pickpocketing from Wedge in NC, but everybody i try to rob it says, can't be stolen from

Uh uh, wrong

before spending any XP points in Gothic i do a savegame, so if the result would suck i can switch back when i had all the points again

You bet he did..
It's true that pickpocketing isn't usefull at all; not even at the beginning, nor later on.. And certanly not if you've already played the game, and know exactly whats on your way..
But think logicaly: Wouldn't it be mendetory to be a skillful thief in order to become a shadow. Or is it just me...

Spending skill points on usless things is one. But how can you pickpocket someone i suposse its quite easy but as ushuall i cant figure it out

First you need to be sneaking. Then sneak up behind someone (un-named) and use ctrl + the up arrow key.

hello,

Well I got a Banjo from a digger in the old camp using Pickpocketing, but I got caught when I tried to get his club (ah well it is some ore worth ).
I was facing the digger and my rear was facing some huts. Then I got into sneaking mode, and pressed Ctrl + Up, then I got a trading screen, without needing to pay.

after I beet him up I got the club.
