Simple question....d'oh!

Hi all...

I just recently upgraded my vid card from a Geforce2 GTS 32MB to a Geforce4 TI4200 128MB card. I am trying to turn on the pretty water now, and can't find the switch. I remember seeing it when I first installed the game, do I have to uninstall / reinstall to get the menu again? I've tried going to Options/Video tab, but there's nothing there about pixel shaded water...just view distance, AI, and gamma correction. Anyone know where I can find that option??

Thanks!

Hoi!

Don't you normally do such things in the graphics card setup rather than in the game? I.e. right click on desktop, then properties->settings->advanced etc. I don't know the exact path but it has to be there, somewhere.

There should be an "Options" link when the initial "pre-game" menu is displayed (before you actually load the game).

D'oh..that was me above..forgot that at work I can't have cookies enabled.

And, as for the options before loading, I've tried that; no different options that I can see. I mean, that menu appears to be the same options menu as in-game.

And to Arhu, that may be true, I don't know. All I know is that I have seen a menu in Morrowind with these and other options that can be turned on/off. So I know it's in the game SOMEwhere...but where????

Oh! Larry is right... It's gotta be in the Morrowind Launcher options. If you had my computer, a part of your screen would look like this:

If yours looks totally different, then I'm lost.

OK..now THAT looks familiar..

You say it's in the launcher.exe?? I couldn't find that in the normal 'Options' menu...

I'll look when I get home.

Thanks for the help, by the way!

I have to say, the water looks pretty damn cool when it rains.

Indeed...I was showing my fiance last night. She was understandably not as impressed as I was; this computer is the thing that gets the bulk of my time!!

The new water is really cool though...raining, swimming, and wading around all make such cool effects..So glad I grabbed the new vid card!

Yea well....she wanted to know what exactly I plunked down $200 for!

So I said.."Dear, I wanted this pretty water here, see? Can't you see the difference between this and the OLD yucky water I used to have??"

To which she said..."I can't believe you spent that money to see some d*mn water! You can go splash around in a puddle if you want to see realistic water!"

So I said .. " I know I can! Watch!! " Then proceeded to jump into the river running through Balmora...I got hypnotized by the rippling water and kind of forgot she was there..

I don't think having my character jump into the river is quite what she had in mind, but she'll get over it!
