*New Mod* Companion NPC

Just a quick plug-in I started if anyone wants it. Using the plug-in creates a warrior NPC in Seyda Neen who will join you if you ask him to.

Any other ideas for the plug-in? Features you think could flesh it out to a full mod? Questions or comments? Just post'em here and I'll see what I can do.

You can grab the mod here if you want it - http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/mwmods/companion.zip

Interesting idea...

This sounds like an interesting idea, which would make playing a "real wizard" character (with no melee skills) much more practical.

How much work did you do? Does the NPC have some scheme for increasing its stats over time, or will you eventually get it killed when you run into a tougher monster? With enough work and some kind of fudge to figure out how many times it gets in fights (which is the real trick) you could do a decent job of tweaking its stats and skills over time.

Perhaps the cheapest approach would be to trigger when the PC levels up, rather than trying to detect fights.

Fighter Mod?

Hello:

I would love to get your plug-in but when I click on the link I get a message from Angelfire saying they won't allow direct connections or something like that.
Is there a way I can just go direct and get this file. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

pitbulll -

If you haven't tried already, right click the link and "save as". I've heard that helps with angelfire links. If that doesn't work, I'd be happy to send it to you by email, just let me know.

Because angelfire doesnt support direct linking you can also copy this link and insert it into your browser...

Btw. I placed information about this mod into Morrowind - Plugin Depot forum.
