WTF??? Has ANYONE gotten this WHACKED error?

"Dead pointer has been deleted. You computer will now crash. Have a nice day. (See Chris)"

Go to Maar gan, and right off the silt strider turn right and head down the path. Huleen's hut is the place...I go in and there's a scamp. Ok, kill it. Take a key from it. Down the stairs, and JUST as I was about to click on the door, I see some stuff on the floor to my right...sandals...a shirt...and a duplicate of the key I got off the scamp. I pick it up and it suddenly gives me this error in game in the in-game style...(amber box with amber text)...the game then immediately dumped me to the desktop...what the hell gives? For a second I thought the game would implant a virus on my system or something...

My guess, (repeat: GUESS) is that during the last couple of months of debug, not everything that was noted was actually fixed/removed. Considering how loudly everyone was screaming for the release, I don't really blame them....we WILL get patches (something the XBox won't be able to get and again my guess is that is the reason for XBox delayed launch).

I think you are right ohbrandi. Also, the big rush was to beat neverwinter nights to the stores. Else they would have done a pc/xbox release.

i am afraid i occationally suffer from these types of errors as well. maybe someone in the programming team was trying to be clever?

I'm thinking the same thing as ohbrandi, they knew the bugs were there but didn't have enough time to fix them . . . might as well make them slightly funny then.
