I was just wondering how many guild are there?
I know the 3 main guild: thief, fighter and mage.
I know the blades. But there are more guild, like temple and imperials.

But i don't know the guilds precisely and what the do.
Can anyone give me more info?

Thanks

These are the guilds you can join:

Blades (you should know them - the Imperial Secret Service)
Fighters' Guild
Mages' Guild
Thieves' Guild
Morag Tong (assassins' guild)
Imperial Legion (the military/police)
Imperial Cult (official Imperial religion)
Temple (official Morrowind religion, they worship the Almsivi triumvirate)
The Great Houses (Hlaalu for thieves, Redoran for fighters, Telvanni for mages - you can join only one of those)
Ashlanders (tribal)
Twin Lamps (if you're intent on freeing slaves, but becoming a member is quite complicated)

I can't think of any other guilds right now.

ashlanders is part of the main quest.. and joining the twin lamps isn't that difficult, after u free about 30 slaves a slave will give u their password..

Well, I never freed slaves on purpose, just if I came across some slaves by accident, so that would explain my troubles .

bounty problem with stolen goods

I also wonder how they know you have stolen items when you turn yourself to pay your fines. Even when I accidentaly click on somebodys bed I must pay 5 septims fine, but I would not reload if not for that nasty fact, that they also take many of my other possesions.
If you have a thieves guild nearby, you can however find a person to talk about "price on your head". Then you pay about half of the amount of the bounty and your bounty is cleared. This is particularly useful when a quest includes some killing or bloodbaths as some call it.
