Marvin mode in Gothic 2 Demo

Hi,
I was just wondering whether it is possible to get outside the demo borders as it ws in Gothic I demo by using the marvin mode. Does this work? IF it does could someone please tell me how to activate and use marvin mode as I've forgotten.

BUT you can get outside the demo borders by using the "magic lamppost". It's the one to the left of the blacksmith's shop, near two women talking. Don't face it directly -- stand at a slight angle and "use" it -- and you'll teleport to the "other side".

Sirkandi,

Are areas outside the demo borders "live"? I mean, do they contain the regular objects / interactions that are in the full version?

Perhaps not since the demo content isn't as large as the shipping product ???

I'm kinda hesitant to try the lamppost because I don't want to spoil the experience of the full version any more than necessary.

But it is tempting.

They contain some of the content, but not all of it. The terrain is not complete -- as you travel East it ends abruptly, making for some interesting graphic effects -- what's included looks to be about a third of the "new world" area. Notably, the Mages' monastery and the Mercenaries' farms are NOT in the demo. But there are lots of monsters (some quite hard!), a few NPCs, and a couple of quests. (You'll find an inn and a farmhouse with associated quests that you can complete.) There are also caves and caches of treasure, but most of the buildings are empty and unfurnished.

Personally, I didn't feel overly spoiled -- if anything it increased my anticipation for the "real thing". I do know my way around some of the geography now, but everything looks different when you traverse it in the context of the storyline anyway, right? But it's an individual matter.
