The Escapist Online Magazine

The Escapist is an online free subscription magazine with a host of interesting articles. I stumbled across this one quite by accident when "Googling" women and gaming. It happens that this month's magazine has a very provocative article called <a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/issue/30/15" target="_blank">"I Enjoy Playing a Girl"</a>. In light of the conversation on the RPGDot forums a week or so ago, I thought that perhaps this would be an interesting article to read. After reading that one, I read a couple of others and am hooked. Head over to <a href="http://www.escapistmagazine.com/issue/30" target="_blank">The Escapist</a>'s main site or read the article cited above and you'll see what I mean.

What happened after that? Did you make some toast?

No...as a matter of fact, I perfected my Bewitched Samantha Stevens nose twitch and practiced turning smart alecks into oyster poop.

What's your point?

Seriously? That you could tighten up your writing by leaving out the insights into your daily routine. RPGDot distinguishes itself from other copy-and-paste news sites by the professionalism of its reporting. The news articles here actually read like news articles, not Livejournal entries.

Yes, we generally strive for a neutral tone but that doesn't mean the occasional newsbit with a personal touch is unwelcome. I have no problem with it, as long as the majority of newsbits have a straight delivery...and they do.

I'm a little more surprised Kalia didn't know the Escapist before - where were you hiding, girl?

Point taken and digested, abbaon. But on the forums I can pontificate all I wish so I will still be turning you into shoe goo as soon as I perfect my +5 Wand of Oyster Poop. So.... 'ware!

Abbaon, you are an idiot.

To those who spend their free time editing an RPG site: thank you, and disregard the trolls who obviously have no life or friends whatsoever.

No, you are. But wait! I see that you split "you're" into "you" and "are" for maximum snootiness. I guess I must be an idiot. Well played. :(
