| invincible Ulu-Mulu Troll |
|
 In the free mine Slave Orc quest (Ch 4) for components to make the Ulu-Mulu the quest trolls (both of them) are invincible and shrink monster does not work. Im a 5th level mage, master archer and can not complete the quest---any ideas? Note cheat God does not help. |

Check your mana. I think you need at least five. Also, you have to hold the keys until the effect has been cast (somewhat long).

Thanks for the response Moonslash, but mana and spell casting time are not the problem. They both are unkillable even with the God cheat--it must be a bug--has this type of invincabliity occurred before or is this unique? |

Never heard about such a bug before.
Take the troll in focus and type 'kill' in the console. If this doesn´t help you can still insert the troll tusk and move on:

Thanks Gorth for the hints---Kill works great; and You are right it is not a bug, they can be killed. The "Shrink Monster" spell takes too long to be usable against the monestary Trool but works against the cul-de-sac Troll if you hide in the cave to cast it (thanks to val for that hint). The "Fist of Wind" and all Ice magic is useless against the Trolls; however "Fire" magic does hurt them slightly. For some reason my master archery skill does not harm the Trolls, nor does my untrained Guardian sword blade. sorry for the false report but thanks for the help. |
