w00t!!!!!YES!! Today is a good day
"Gothic 2 is a 3rd person fantasy role-play game. The story continues right where Gothic 1 left off.
The player defines his character not on a screen at the beginning of the game but during the first hours of the game as it runs. By the choice of one of three groupings each with different continuing destinies (Magician, Henchman, Dragon Hunter), that influence and alter the course of the game.
The idea behind the role-play is the key to the game. The main game elements comprise the collection of items, dialogs and missions, battles against monsters, discovering the world and strengthening self-character."
...can you say DRAGON HUNTER
So BK, from the screenies it looks like the main character is sportin ole Gomez's armor hehe
And if it takes place from where you last left off:
*Can you import your old char? (I wish)
*Will we be able to fight the KING??
(ie- "Oh yea King? Wanna throw me into a hell-hole with murderers and thieves" pull out Uriziel "Time for JUSTICE!")
Damn so many questions...
Well Im just glad there *IS* a sequel!
Now for the bad news: When's its release

Yeah great stuff...3 camps once again..the dragon hunter really sounds interesting..dragons in gothic2? wow...
i really hope they will include the horseriding thing we all want so bad...it would be so damn good...is this the main character like you have in gothic1? or is this a different person?
they decided to let the graphics engine stay...i don't have anything against it..but still a complete new one wouldn't be bad as well...BUT the development would take much longer definetely...well i can't wait..though i have yet to complete gothic1, after sect camp..i will have 2 camps to join ..so new stuff for me still...but i will be eagerly awaiting gothic2 ..just very happy with this news... |

All we know from these screenshots is that there will be a hut, a wolf, and a lot of bridges in Gothic 2!!!
I wonder how they are going to handle the fact the guy was beefed up when he emerged from the colony?
You think that hes going to be given an average level to start with? And what of his riches!!

I posted in the other thread; but I'll post here also. Whoopee! Gothic 2. Let's pass around the pre-order sheet now. It's too bad we can't carry our character over to the new game; but Dragon Hunter looks pretty good to me.
The graphics look alittle different to me; but as long as the basic theme of the game is there, then I'll be fine.
I hope they carry Mud over to the new game; although I doubt that he will talk to me now after the beating I gave him in Gothic 1.
