help with hell hound in dwn city
   

i went by the walk through and smashed him in the smelter--but the handle won't open the lava pit--he keeps saying this should work but it don't any help would be appricated

There's another tunnel off the "Smasher" room that leads to another little room. You need to pull the lever in there to make the other one in the "Smasher" room work.

yeah this is a tricky one download the walkthrough its about 2Mb and you will need acrobat 5 to open iy ok
