Hello folks! Jaz Scatty is back with a most epic battle of the titans this time… not the Royal Rumble since our favourite diva Gomez didn’t feel well tonight, but we will back for that soon.
No, tonight we will witness the devastating…
Battle of the Mages!
This time, the Courtyard Arena turned out to be the wrong place. Inserting three strong-willed old geezers and editing their flags before one of them had the opportunity to either jog back home or just dissolve into thin air proved to be too much for my mediocre typing skills. The only place that seemed to work in this regard was the fire mages’ Inner Sanctum.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, let’s welcome our mighty magicians: Xardas, Saturas and Corristo!
Round 1
The first round turns out to be very exciting… for the mages. Not for the spectators, though, as all the elderly gentlemen do is sit down and read!
No need to tell you that this round ended in a draw…
Round 1
Round 2
After a little provocation by referee Skip, the fight finally comes into gear. Saturas and Corristo go at each other’s throat, using their respective fire and ice magic! Strangely enough, Xardas holds back his incredible powers.
Round 2: First Blood
It doesn’t take long before the fist combatant goes down. Fire proves to be superior to lightning and ice as Corristo burns Saturas’ butt to a cinder.
Round 2: The First Dropout
As we now discover, Xardas’ waiting for one of the fighters to drop out was a very intelligent thing to do… because the forgetful necromancer left all his magic at home! Well, now the old man has to resort to martial arts.
Round 2: Drunken Master
Things don’t look good for Corristo. Xardas gives the fire mage a sound thrashing, nearly beating the stuffing out of his opponent.
Round 2: Near Doom
The desperate Corristo manages – by accident - to set the referee on fire. Skip leaves the premises in a hurry only to be found in the smithy a little later on, quite dead.
Round 2: Referee Inferno
The fight between the two mages goes for whole two and a half hours of game time now; I am pretty bored. Both combatants seem to hang on to their last hitpoints by sheer willpower… then Corristo manages to fell the necromancer with a final fireball.
The battle is decided. The winner is:
Corrrristooooo!
Round 2: The End

P.S.: Danicek will want a rematch on this. The water mage was the first to go!

No idea. When I checked into the matter, his inventory was empty... as simple as that...
He's a forgetful old man. I can't give you any other reason!

If there is a rematch, make it in Xardas' Tower in Chapter 6, not only are there books for all to read, but then Xardas should have all his spells.
EDIT: 1000! Now the Fab 4 is complete.

The fight was great as usual. Poor Skip, is there a penalty for cooking the ref?

That drunken master picture was too funny. How did Xardas get that high in the air?

Nicely done. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Moral: "He who refs a mage fight, runs burning into the night." |

Thank you, thank you!!!
Well, Xardas did an ordinary jump here, which was why he soared so high. Now about the referee... poor Skip indeed, I take it he won't be too excited about refereeing another fight for me . A penalty would be in order, I guess.
