While using the alchemy labs(cor kalom, water mages e.t.c.) i wondered if there is a specific formula to get different potions or whether each lab only makes 1 type of potion.
It's just that at one time i collected an extra strength boost potion from somewhere and i could'nt remember where i got it from or if i made it while using a lab.
Any ideas anyone ?

I think 1 lab makes only one type of potion. And I do not think there is lab where you can make permament potions.

Be sure you didnt make it.
It is impossible to make own elixier in Gothic 1, but in Gothic 2 it works!

I did'nt think it would be that, but it would've been cool.
Anyone know which labs make what(there must be at least 4 labs).

Got a link to this piece of Gothic2 info?

As for the potions, I dont think you can actually make a potion, I think that as long as you have a (Alchemy bottle)?(Lab Flask)? I forget the name but I know you can pick some up after you take out the NC weed-guys.
Its very similar to the frying pan, and the Sword making technique: As long as you have the items needed you can work the station/machine that uses that item
(i.e. Lab Flask for the Labs/ Raw Meat for Pan/ Raw Steel for the Forge/ LP to lockpick)
I did the alchemy lab process, just to see all the step it would go through (very very cool look to it) and noticed I couldnt do it without a lab flask

I don't think I ever found more than just a couple empty flasks, is there a cache somewhere that I just haven't found?

Could you explain how to use the Flask? I've got it from the weed mixers and spent about 5 minutes at the water mages lab moving around and trying the Ctrl-Up, but it did not work. What action do I need to take to produce a potion?

Maybe try ctrl first then up or change your position slightly and i'm not sure, but i do'nt think an npc was near the bench.

All you need is a 'Lab Flask' (Im pretty sure thats the name.
I think I was at Cor Kaloms Lab table when I tried it for the 1st time (probably was right after I killed the weed mixers)
Just like anything else in the game, you just make sure that the item you want to use (Alchemy Lab) is highlighted and, yea, Action + Up buttons.

The Flask itself just has to be in your inventory, no where in particular.
