Canthat want Sarah in jail. But you have the choice to put him in jail to.
Help Sarah: 300 exp + sword
Help Canthar: 200 exp
Does it have any further efects on the game?
So wich way is better?
(i tried to kill Sarah in jail, but the guard stepped in and beat me.
The stangest thing is that Sarah still has her weapon in jail)

hmm, I sent canthar to jail, got more XP and a good sword... Im waiting to see what canthars mates do to me later on, but nothings happened so far...
So as far as I can see, sending canthar to jail is the btter option...
Also Sarahs weapons 'update' every new chapter I think, Canthars dont...

I have heard here, that sending Canthar into jail will cost you about 500gp. because next day or so any merchant at market place will refuse making business with you. I haven't tested it myself though.

It's true, if you throw Canthar in jail, no merchant will ever want to trade with you again(later in the game that is), so I usually help Canthar, even though I don't like to. |

in chapter 2 canthar will be released from jailm sarah will disapear and no one at the market will trade with you (by which time its a moot point anyway coz that market is rubbish...

It's when you come back from the Valley of Mines, in the 3rd chapter.
To clear your name, just talk to Canthar, and pay him 500 gold pieces. |

i liked sarah more than this slimy canthar  .Hell I would have liked to smack his face right after he got out of the jail.They say respected person,bah!By the way does anyone know where to find Sarah after Canthar gets back?Or is she going to vanish for all time?Atleast i haven't found her so far.There must be other way than giving 500 pieces of gold to that bastard

I found the same weapon on the beach near the ship after killing a lizard.

Yeah I threw Canthar in the hole and when he got out I was desperately looking for Sarah so I can try to get her back in business but alas, either the developers frogot about this side quest or they wanted to leave a little suspense. Despite that, I paid Canthar his 500 gold and followed him to his inn room where I quickly beat the living crap out of him and killed him where no one can see. Unfortunately, my plan was foiled when I checked his body and the 500 gold I gave him disappeared... must have just eaten it while I was stabbing him and there's no option to 'mutilate corpse'. ah well |
