Mage perhaps, but not a member of the fire/water magicians...they are churches, religions... in our history, there have never been female clerics/vicors/holy leaders (only until the last 15-20 years have we seen women taking a more active role in well...nearly everything, as boundrys of inequality are torn down over time)

This might, and probabley lis the case for gothic, no female warriors, women dont fight battles, thats still the case even today, you wont see women soldiers on the front line (UN/NATO doesnt count, they arent really on the front line anyway) and no women in the churches/religon, this is because it wasnt classed as a womans place, so this is two reasons you dont see women in the paladins, as warriors or in any of the magician circles.
