| Is learning forging worth it? (possible spoiler) |

Is there really a point in learning how to forge swords, and especially in
learning how to forge magic ore weapons as a mercenary? While it allows
you to make some quick cash, and provides you with a nice Str20 weapon,
it does not seem to have any long term benefit... unless there are better
weapons than the two magic ore swords.
So I guess my questions is - are there only three swords one can forge?
Are there any improvements that one can add to them?
PS In the same vein, what is the point of brewing a healing potion from
about 150 coins worth of ingredients that barely heals more than the
conponents, and sell for one fifth of the price? |

in the end, you can make a weapon that has 110 damage, so it's worth learning forging...

As for the potion: if you enable the "quick potion" keys in the .ini file, you can use the potion during combat. The devs seem to consider this cheating, but I think the game is plenty hard even with it! |

well to be honest I think that forging is only good as a merc
as other classes it ok only if u r harrad apperntice

I think learning forging as a merc/DH is definitely worth it. But you shouldn't learn to forge ALL swords.
