I'll be doing this one when I get home tonight (I have no life). When you say "no where to be found", do you mean you found the egg mine and then could not find the queen? Or do you mean you can't find the egg mine?

Oh, she's there alright. If I remember correctly, I had to get a little bit wet for this one. How long can you hold your breath?

You can avoid killing the queen by talking to it's owner. I stumbled onto that by accident. I don't remember what town it was in, but it's obviously the town the mine is close to (not in the mine itself IIRC). He's another Hlaalu member. If you can't find him, I'll check my journal when I get home and get a name.

Anyway, tell him about your orders (it's a conversation topic with him - something like "kill kwanas queen"). He'll tell you to lie to what's-her-name in Balmora, and to say you killed it. He'll pay you to leave it alone. Go back and tell her it's been done, and she'll pay you too! So far I've lied to her three times, and haven't had a problem. I don't like her under-handed tactics, so I say screw her!

What Joey999 said. Many of the Hlaalu quests can be handled this way. After all, House Hlaalu is all about being devious and under-handed. Just wait 'til you reach the end of the line and find out what else House Hlaalu is involved in.
