**spoilers**
well.. heres what happened with my lvl 3 thief last night... i swam into the puzzle canal from the bottom grate... there was never any tougher monster than a rat for me.. but that might be level dependant... i just kept exiting from the same location (i chose the grate in the upper right corner but i dont think it matters.. any ways each time i exited to the exterior of the building i would turn around and notice that the grate i had just exited from had switched to the entrance for another level... meaning if i had exited from level 2.. it would now be level 5 or something.. anyways i kept reentering back through and each level was the same.. empty except for a rat... finally i entered level three and in the center tunnell that connects the
two sides there was a door... i went through that into the 'center' chamber... on a raised platform was an inscription that said something about drinking deeply of the water to see the way.. so finally after messing around in the water for awhile i let my char drown... after the health bar hit zero there was a thunderclap and a bridge appeared leading to another door... i walked through into a chamber with some sort of creature standing next to a shrine and a chest.. the shrine said something about vivec giving his unarmed foe a silver longsword.. well... there were silver longswords in the chest.. so i handed one to the creature.. after a dialogue with the critter I read the shrine again.. and i gained a blessing from vivec of water breathing and +25 to swim speed... however the next time i slep the blessings dissappeared.... that was all i discovered.. however someone mentioned many treasures guarded by daedric servants.. so perhaps you have to trigger a specific quest in order for the canal to 'fill up' with monsters and such... but the blessing might be usefull for exploring the underwater ruins as the water breathing is permanent for the duration of the blessing... |
