Armor
   

Is there any armor not mentioned in the manuel or is mithrill the over-all best (and ugliest, they look like pajamas).

Yes, there is better armor available than Mithril, but you will need at least a 12 Strength to wear it. And it doesn't look like pajamas.

There comes a point in your quests where the best body armor in the game will actually be lying in front of you, so you can't really miss it. Also, the best shield of the game is an artifact that you can get as part of a quest, as well.
