Applying a mod

I got stuck in fort Peligran (sp) between some crates/boxes and thought I was done for until I realized I could just mod it.

So, I jumped into the construction set and drilled down and moved the offending box. Saved and named the mod, went out to the "data' portion and selected that mod so it would be active and launched up MW again.

Well, the box didn't move and I'm still stuck...

We can't apply mods to existing saved games then? Any help would be appreciated!

ARGH!

Yes, this is one thing i have noticed as well...
It seems, if there is an objest in the Master file, no matter how hard you try, there will always the that object there...

I spent about 2 hours making a building only to have a tree uprooted right in the center of it... if you still got those 1000 Acrobatics scrolls, you might see if that can free you w/o killing you...

Well if you get stuck you don't have to edit the world to get free... enable the console by pressing the ~ key. Type help for a list of console commands. One of the should be a clipping mode toggle. I think its TCL. Type it in and it should say clipping disabled. Hit ~ again and move out of wherever you are stuck. Press ~ again and type in the command again to reenable clipping. If you do this the safest thing is to make sure you are up in the air when you reenable clipping so that you don't get yourself stuck again by being inside the ground or an object.

I got stuck trying to jump onto a bridge and after trying for some time to get free had to apply the last quicksave.

Reverting to a save can be a lifesaver as well as clipping out of the problem-remember to save often.

Some objects also have collisions attached to them , you have to move that as well, or its like having an invisible object there.
