Chap. 2, castle gate locked?

Hi, this probably sounds like a stupid question. It probably is, but...

How do you get into the castle in the Valley of the Mines?
The gate is locked. I can't get in. I've been everywhere else on the map (cept past those Ice Golems - can't kill them), but theres just nothing.

I used the search function, but didn't find anything helpful. I hope that means the answer is incredibly obvious and I'm just an idiot, rather then a game-stopping bug.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Run around the castle, you will come to a broken down orc siege engine, run up the beam of that and climb into the castle.
